GATE™ blends action, adventure, and brain-teasing challenges into an addictive fast-action game with smooth animation, exciting music and sound effects. Escape the castle’s prison, battle enemies, solve puzzles, and defeat your captor to restore peace to the land.
GATE and the GATE Demo requires a Macintosh®, hard drive, System 6.0.7 or later, 4MB RAM, 640x480 or larger monitor and 256 colors.
This GATE Demo is a self-running introduction to GATE. This demo plays background music and sound effects; the full version lets you turn one or both options off.
!!! IMPORTANT NOTE !!!
GATE and the GATE Demo will not work properly on some Macintosh models unless “32 Bit Addressing” is turned on in the “Memory” Control Panel. If you normally operate with 32 Bit Addressing turned on, or if you do not have a choice of addressing modes in the “Memory” Control Panel, then GATE will work properly.
If you normally operate with 32 Bit Addressing turned off, you can try playing GATE (it may work fine). If GATE “crashes” or quits unexpectedly, restart the computer, turn on “32 Bit Addressing” in the “Memory” Control Panel, restart the computer, then restart GATE.
GATE is known to require 32 Bit Addressing on the following Macintosh models: PowerBook 180c, Centris 660AV. There may be others which are not listed here.
